Charles is experienced registered healthcare provider with Advanced diploma and bachelor degree in health science and social work respectively, human right activist, advocate for affordable healthcare, eye care disability inclusion and committed for confidentiality in health system. He is currently serving as head of ophthalmology department at Muhima Hospital, Country field coordinator in Rwanda ophthalmic clinical officer and cataract surgeon society (ROOCOCS), and healthcare quality improvement in different optical centers in Kigali.
Since 2021, He served in coordination of different eye care campaign aimed at providing eye services to the underserved community through word sight campaign, moreover his dedication in building accessible and sustainable health care, given him the interest in greatly contribute in elaboration of training manual and provision of training for community-based organization on eye health. He has broad experience implementation of different project the well-known is community outreaches for eye health especially for cataract surgeries. Currently Charles is working tirelessly to start “YOUR SIGHT, YOUR SOCIAL WELLBEING INITIATIVE” the program aimed at mobilizing community on proper understand on the effect of vision on social economic wellbeing of citizen and country in general.
