About
George Wilobo (MSc, BSc, SLT, DBSc) is a highly experienced and resourceful Strategic Planning Specialist with a strong background in System Quality Assurance. He currently serves as the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee for ICHS and has been the Executive Director of Global Events Canada since 2021. George excels at reviewing reports, crafting strategic initiatives, and collaborating with business leadership to drive continuous improvements and enhance organizational performance.
With over 12 years of professional experience, George’s journey spans both social and health sectors. He has developed extensive expertise through his work with prominent organizations such as Community Living Toronto and the United States African Development Foundation. His background also includes serving as an ISO Standards Officer and providing crucial Quality Assurance for various agencies, particularly within Government Parastatal organizations. Additionally, he currently holds roles as a Strategic Planner and advisor for the African Centre for Refugees and is an ambassador for the Great Lakes Peace Centre.
Academically, George is well-qualified, holding a Master of Management Analytics and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. He also has practical experience from his time at Baylor College of Medicine. Further enhancing his skill set, he has completed a Science Laboratory Technology program and studied Project Management at the Galilee International Management Institute in Israel.
